Conversation With Minds

Conversation With Minds is my kind of poetry; loud, relative, calm, and engaging. My Conversation with this book started with “IN THE DARK.”

PHASE ONE
I didn’t want this to end, it opened my eyes as I could relate to its words. I could hear the voice like it was my inner self, my mind sounding a warning.

PHASE TWO
The piece “Who Do You Talk To?” Can never be over-emphasized.

PHASE THREE
When I read and got to “but because I’m still way too unbothered to be bothered by the lack of it” I screamed, like! How does Joseph Awujoola do this?
Then again, I read “I was dying to live, for my tears refused to fall whenever I tried to smile” and I had to scream yet again, and this time I said to myself, Seph, by fire by force, you go gas cut soap for me, abeg.

Then,

PHASE FOUR
“When you’re captured in the light of the word and you become the light of the world…” No, no, I didn’t quote that for you to read and pass, read that quote again, now, “tell me, why do you need a filter?”

Joseph, you’ve given out a masterpiece and no, no, this work needs to be shown to the world. Thank you for engaging and reminding me to once in a while sit down to converse with my other self, my mind.
