I spend most of my time holding meetings with my thoughts. It has become, so far, the reason I am where I am. I think about things that were, those that are, and those that I will like to be. I also think about things I’d rather leave in my head, not because they don’t matter, but because they are best kept there.
Some can be hurtful, too desirable, too real, and often times, too scary.
Hi Welcome! My name is Delight Chilegide Olumati and this is the first episode and the introductory part of this blog series. I wouldn’t be doing so much here, except welcoming you to this part of my life that I leave in my thought. I may share a few experiences too that you, in one way or the other, have had a taste of.
Through this series, I’d love for us to be on the same page about ourselves. “We are humans and that is before anything else”. This quote should be our guide through and should be a reminder when our thoughts and the things that go on in them become too much for our reality.
Sometimes I wish for a break from my thoughts, yet again I am visited with the realization that we cannot be free from them but we can try to express them. Some can be really scary, but what other way out do we have?
Our second episode will focus on our thoughts on PERFECTION. The pressure that comes with it and the follow-up thoughts it carries, like FAILURE.
