There’s a longing we’ve always had about love that has caused us to question. The love our thoughts hold, can that love we love be strong enough to carry another life? Our eyes have learnt to not forget our burning desires as it blinks. Our lips do not forget to carry the moments we wish to relive.
Are our hearts beating at the same pace or are they beating at a different one? Are we scared we are the wrong love for us or are we now too comfortable to question? Do our dreams align or are we now masked in creating a new one where we both can exist? Are we who our future needs?
When we take deep breaths, do we feel exhausted or do we think it’s our new way of life? Who are we when the world feels too strong for us? Do we think we are the combination that makes our lives liveable or do we think we are the combination that makes the journey more convenient? When we think about ourselves, what do we grasp?
In this life of beautiful stories heard and even more beautiful ones yet untold, what stories can our love tell? Are we the love that loves us back, the one that’s too scared to love the other back or are we the love that doesn’t exist? Are we the type that’s too comfortable in the idea of perfection or do we believe in creating our everything? Who are we when it’s just us?
This love we think we have shown life, is it the one we desperately long for or is it the one that feels good enough for the life we live in and the friends we move with? Are we living our lives or are we trying to live a life for others through ourselves? When we are privileged to see our end, are we going to cry from regrets or are we going to be proud of the love our flesh and blood lived?
We sometimes have wishes of being able to stand with our hands held together for better and for worse, is that reality still true or are we now at the stage of “not-so-sure?”
May the mind that ponders find what makes it find rest. And may the heart that always wonders feel at ease because these questions are what makes us who we are…humans.
