The Second Of Nine

I have this perfect room setting in my head. It has this beautiful work space beside my bed and a frame of our captured moments hanging on the wall.
I have this perfect picture of what should be called “enough” and you are everything those words mean.

Hey love, writing to you is one of my favourite parts of being a writer. Writing about you makes the process even easier. Most times, I ask what friendship felt like before I met you. What sisterhood stood for before your coming. What love was all about before your definition. I think back to when there wasn’t a you and I am reminded of why you were given to me.

I address this letter to you today to remind you of all you mean to me, to remind you of days we’ve spent and moments we’ve shared.

I remember the day we spoke about our dreams; yours specifically and it was wholesome to listen to. I was so quiet after because in my head I went like “damn, she’s so fucking creative” you talked about your plans and I love it. I loved you even more, I still do. I love you.

I love it when we call and all we talk about are our wins, it is always beautiful. I love it when you hold my hands and place life plain to me. I love how honest you make everything seem. I love your words.

Dear bestfriend, until I pick my pen to write to you, remember that you are enough. Be kind to yourself. Be the best to your friends and that stranger on the street. Until the next time, life is worth living and people are worth loving and you are people, we are people. I love you.

Yours Lovely,
Delight Olumati

Speechless. Sometimes the best remarks is just to smile and say nothing. I like that this piece made me think and smile. Lovely

  4. The linguistic simplicity brought the romance to fore. We should not hide our feeling under ambiguous words; a big lesson I just learnt in write sponsored by this piece. Thank you M’Delight
